Juniors On Course / DOTS
"Juniors on Course / DOTS" will take place almost every Friday evening. This walking 9-hole event allows the use of push carts.
Program details:
Participants must complete the Junior Coaching Program or a series of Private Lessons prior to registration. Proof of previous course experience can waive this requirement.
Golfers will begin their game from any point ranging from the 100-yard marker to a set of designated tees. The selection of tee markers will be determined by the coach, based on past performance and experience level.
The objective of the game is to accumulate as many DOTS as you can on the scorecard, highlighting the significance of every swing. You can earn a DOT in the following ways:
Scoring a (4) earns 1 dot, (3) earns 2 dots, (2) earns 3 dots, and (1) earns 250 dots.
Hitting the tee ball on the fairway grants 1 dot
Reaching the green in regulation—meaning one shot on a par 3, two shots on a par 4, and three shots on a par 5—awards 1 dot.
Sinking a putt that exceeds the length of the flagstick earns 3 dots.
The maximum score for a hole is 7. Players must pick up after reaching 7.
Pairings are determined by age and the yardage being played.
A parent caddie is required unless the coaches agree otherwise.
