World Wide Technology Launches Inaugural Public Sector Women in Technology Symposium At 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship

Last week, in Bethesda, Maryland, the game of golf’s eyes were on the 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, at the venerable Congressional Country Club. And while the Republic of Korea’s In Gee Chun took home her third Major Championship title in thrilling fashion on the course, World Wide Technology, Inc. gathered many of the most innovative and successful women in the Public Sector for the company’s inaugural Public Sector Women in Technology Symposium.
WWT's  Public Sector Women in Technology Symposium was designed to recognize and highlight some of the top women making a difference in the technology and innovation space within the Public Sector.
“Ultimately everyone wants to know their place in their careers and their lives, and we should all look for opportunities that deliver value and meaning,” said Susan McHugh-Polley, Senior Strategic Advisor- Federal Civilian for WWT. “At WWT, we encourage all attendees to find their value and share it with others.”
Since it was founded as a minority-owned business in 1990, WWT has grown to over $14 billion in revenue and 8,000 employees worldwide. However, as Public Sector Executive Vice President Bryan Thomas noted in the symposium’s opening remarks, diversity and inclusion are a core tenet of WWT’s business operations and culture.  As a result, the company emphasizes developing programs and initiatives that not only recognize diverse talent but also puts talented staff members in a position for additional growth and opportunity.
The symposium came on the heels of the annual KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit, a critical pillar of KPMG Women’s PGA Championship event week.
Each year, the KPMG Women’s Leadership brings together the best and brightest leaders in business, sports, politics & the arts for an unforgettable day of education, empowerment and progress both on and off the golf course.
WWT Symposium attendees were also provided a chance to stream the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit in its entirety on https://womensleadership.kpmg.us.
Broadcast in partnership with NBC and Golf Channel, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship offers a $9 Million purse, among the highest in women’s golf.
