The Fab 4 of the New Products Zone at the 2022 PGA Show

Published on

Each year, PGA Show attendees love to check out the new product zone. Think “Shark Tank” meets the PGA of America! This area is unique and with one year off, the inventors had extra time to try and impress us. In looking at what all the brilliant designers came up with across the board it is consistently amazing how the most common ideas with a slight twist always catch our attention.
Here’s a couple of this year’s best entrants…
This is certainly no ordinary ball marker. You start by placing it behind the ball. Just as you would with a coin or regular marker. The immediate difference? The device gets inserted into the turf. From there you can stand up and move the alignment aid along the line of intent by pointing it with your putter head. The base stays still, but the alignment aspect of the marker moves. It’s a very cool concept and one that will help golfers successfully complete one of golf’s simplest, yet challenging skills; alignment.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Golf is an outdoor game played in the sun. We all need to wear more sunblock, but generally don’t because we want to keep our hands clean while playing. Oars & Alps has developed a roll-on sunblock that keeps ‘em clean. Much like a deodorant stick, this clear sunblock can be easily applied. It’s sweat proof and water resistant. With 35-SPF you can now protect yourself as often as possible. The best part? You can store it right in your golf bag because it is spill proof and travel friendly.
This item caused a stir on Tuesday at the Demo Day. Resistance training in golf has gained tremendous popularity in recent years. Unlike many of the options, Aero-Swing’s training aid won’t take much of an money investment. These safe and specially designed swing aids go right down the shaft of your club. With specific training designed by their team you increase swing speed, build power, and develop endurance. They come in different sizes, and you can use more than one depending on your needs.
Imagine a cooler with no ice. That is what Kanga has brough to market. Perfectly sized to fit common packaging these sleek and colorful carryalls will keep items cold for 7 hours. A perfect fit to a round of golf. It really couldn’t be an easier to use, you just slip the cooler right over the box. The top then opens and provides access to your beverage of choice. This ingenious idea first received critical acclaim on Shark Tank the show!
As all these items prove it doesn’t take much to make a successful invention. The return of the PGA Show is very good for the golf industry. Golf is more popular than ever, but part of what fuels that popularity is creative people coming together. Always make the “Zone” a stop on your Show list. So many of these items become bigger stories and seeing where they started is really fun.
