PGA of America Offers Vendor Inclusion Opportunities at 2022 Championships

Published on

The PGA of America is encouraging diverse and locally owned vendors to provide sourcing in support of the following PGA of America events:
  • 2022 PGA Championship
    • Southern Hills C.C., Tulsa, Okla. (May 17-22)
  • 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship
    • Harbor Shores Resort, Benton Harbor, Mich. (May 24-29)
  • 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship
    • Congressional C.C., Bethesda, Md. (June 21-26)
Minority-, women-, LGBT-, disabled-, Veteran-, service-disabled Veteran- and locally owned businesses are invited to participate in PGA VendorMatch. Companies can register through Nov. 9, 2021 at PGAVendorInclusion.org to potentially interview with larger, direct PGA vendors (known as prime or Tier 1 vendors) for opportunities during any of the three Championships.
Golf is an $84 billion industry, and events like these generate substantial entertainment and tourism dollars for host cities and surrounding areas. Accordingly, the PGA is committed to building a supply chain representative of America’s population.
“We are excited to foster local entrepreneurship through PGA VendorMatch,” said PGA of America Chief People Officer Sandy Cross. “PGA VendorMatch enhances our ability to provide an outstanding experience through our Championship operations. We look forward to extending this exciting initiative to vendors in support of our major Championships in 2022, while positively impacting the local economies in Oklahoma, Michigan and Maryland.”
Companies interested in registering should visit PGAVendorInclusion.org. A variety of services are needed, such as catering, temporary housing, florals and labor. A full listing of needs is featured on the website.
All registrations must be received by Nov. 9, 2021 to be considered.
