#EscapeToGolf at Augusta National with Channing Benjamin

The pageantry. The prestige. The views.
Augusta National Golf Club is among the best and most picturesque courses in the country. Host of The Masters, all eyes are on the majestic course for four-straight days as some of the best golfers in the world seek to capture the illustrious green jacket.
But what is it like to #EscapeToGolf and photograph the hallowed grounds? Channing Benjamin has made a name for himself by combining golf and photography to help inspire the future of the game. He’s also one of the lucky photographers who has had the chance to capture Augusta National in all its glory.
Benjamin visited Augusta in 2017 and the experience was unlike any other.
“Well, ‘special’ would be an understatement,” Benjamin said. “As a golf landscape photographer, few places offer such perspective. Having watched that tournament most of my life, it was pretty special out there to be able to view the property through my own lens.”

“The one thing that is different than anything would be the undulation and the severity of the hills around the property,” Benjamin shared. “Television doesn’t really do it justice, because when you’re out there it can be a tough walk.”
