The global golf industry reunites today as the 2022 PGA Show welcomes attendees back to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The 69th PGA Show is reimagined and reinvigorated with ways for golf industry professionals to meet, shop, learn and – most importantly – connect with each other.
Just as the golf business itself is evolving during a golf boom and a global pandemic, the PGA Show is evolving with it. The game’s largest gathering of industry professionals is happening in-person with safety guidelines in place to allow for the pent-up demand from buyers, companies and golf professionals to return to peer networking, national-level education and industry programming that can only be found at the PGA Show.
The 2022 PGA Show kicks off at 8:15 a.m. with a festive opening ceremony featuring music and a performance from Sam Harrop, golf’s premier parodist. The doors to the PGA Show Floor open at 8:30 a.m., as does the Equipment Test Center – the PGA Show’s indoor area for trying the latest golf products. Several golf media outlets are broadcasting live from the PGA Show Floor, including Golf Channel, SiriusXM Radio and CBS Sports HQ, SI GOLF and Fairways of Life, PGA Magazine and PGA.com.
Hundreds of the top brands in the business are at this year’s PGA Show for buying and networking opportunities. In addition, many past favorite featured areas return this year, such as the Golf Travel Pavilion, Golf Fitness, Wellness & Instruction area, New Product Zone, Inventors Spotlight and Adaptive Golf Center.
New this year is the PGA Hub, located centrally near the main entrance to the PGA Show Floor. This golf activation area is featuring coaching demos, a PGA Frisco HQ opening preview, a PGA Professional lounge, access to PGA staff regarding PGA.Coach, PGA Interactive, PGA Career Services, PGA Jr. League, PGA Golf Retirement Plus and PGA REACH, as well as the Industry Stage for discussions and presentations. There’s also a simulator to play the 17th hole at Whistling Straits, a putting green for PGA coaching demonstrations, daily contests and a “Make Golf Your Thing” information center.
A highlight of the day is sure to be the PGA Show Live Fashion Show, set for 5:30 p.m. in Hall D of the PGA Show Floor. Attendees will preview apparel and accessories lines from a dozen top designers and brands in a high-energy fashion show that accentuates the detail, attributes and craftsmanship of the game’s latest trends.
