A Quick Nine: Best military courses
Since the inception of PGA.com's, 'A Quick Nine,' feature, we've tried to make it a point to highlight beautiful areas of the country, or fantastic courses that you might not otherwise know about. That will continue.
In fact, it continues right now. This week, we asked our servicemen and servicewomen golfers -- and anyone else who could help: What is the best golf course on a Military Base?
Here are the top answers we received.
1. Andrews Air Force Base. Located in Maryland, AAFB is home to three courses -- the East, the West and the South. AAFB is the venue of choice for President Obama.

2. North Kingstown Golf Course. Located beside the former Naval Air Station Quonset Point right on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island, NKGC provides some breathtaking views of the ocean, as well as military planes sitting in hangars at the adjacent base.

3. Eisenhower at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. From its website: Eisenhower Golf Club is situated adjacent to the USAF Academy Chapel and cadet dormitories. Constructed in large part from a donation made by the AFAF in the amount of $250,000 in 1958, Eisenhower Golf Club's Blue Course is rated among the highest of all courses in the Department of Defense. The winding fairways, well groomed greens, and the natural wonder of roaming wildlife make the Blue and Silver Courses two of the most scenic 36 Holes in Colorado. Eligible users of the Eisenhower Golf Club include: Active Duty, Retired military, Reservists, National Guard, NAF, DoD Government employees, USAFA cadets/Prep School students, USAFA Contractors with valid I.D. cards and their guests.
