Masters 2018: Patrick Reed's key birdie at par-3 12th

Published on

Patrick Reed entered the final round of the Masters with a three-stroke lead.

He's played steady golf, but some big-time names are making their run late like we always see on Sunday at Augusta National.

Every time it looks like Reed is giving an opening, he immediately bounces back.

Such was the case at the famous par-3 12th.

Moments after making a bogey at No. 11, Reed found the back of the green on 12 and proceeded to knock down the birdie putt to get back to even for the day and 14 under overall.

And it's a good thing he did. Up ahead at the par-5 15th, three-time major winner Jordan Spieth made a birdie of his own to stay within one.

Should Reed go on to win, that birdie at 12 could prove to be the difference.
