Zach Martin
Head Golf ProfessionalI was born and raised in Wilson, NC. My dad introduced me to the game of golf at age 5 at Willow Springs Country Club. We moved to Pinehurst in 2005 when I was 10 years old in order to take advantage of the many golf courses and resources. I attended Pinecrest High School where we won the state championship my senior year in 2013. I played on the varsity golf team at the University of North Carolina from 2013 - 2017. After college I worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst for almost four years. In January 2022, I accepted the position as the Head Golf Professional at Longleaf Golf & Family Club located in Southern Pines. Owned by the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation, Longleaf Golf & Family Club hosts many junior events throughout the year, including the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships every summer. I have also been the PGA Lead Professional of PGA HOPE Southern Pines since the spring of 2022. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) allows me to teach the game of golf to veterans with disabilities.
