Furnace Brook Golf Club

Quincy MA

The Golf Course was designed by Wayne Stiles in 1923 as an 18-hole golf course and originally opened as the Stoney Brae Golf Club. In the 1950's the club sold part of the golf course for housing developments at which time the club transitioned to its present day 9-hole course. When playing 18 holes, the course plays to a par-70 and measures approximately 6,000 yards from the black tees. The first hole at Furnace Brook Golf Club has the longest recorded hole-in-one by a woman which was set by Marie Robie on September 4th, 1949. The feat of 393 yards is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.
