Over the years, Pol has given literally thousands of golf lessons to golfers of all abilities, from beginners to high school and collegiate golfers to PGA players. He was awarded the 2009 Gateway PGA Teacher of the Year, the state’s highest teaching award.

Pol credits his success primarily to the mentoring of two individuals. The strongest influence in his teaching has been Jim Hardy, ranked #7 by Golf Digests 50 Greatest Teachers. Mr. Hardy introduced Pol to the one plane and two plane golf swings, which he integrates into the swings of his students today. Pol is one of the few Certified Level 2 Jim Hardy Golf Instructors in the country, and the only one in Missouri. One of the game’s most sought after short game instructors, Stan Utley, has helped Pol greatly in developing his short game instruction programs.
