Since joining the section in 1990, Serafino has been the consummate Central New York PGA professional. Serafino has successfully earned the respect of both his PGA peers and his club members through his professionalism, integrity, hard work and service to the golfing community.

Serafino’s 35-year career encompasses golf management, golf club operations and golf course maintenance. He has built his career on the importance of exceptional customer service because in his words ‘We are here to help each player enjoy their day’.

Serafino sets high standards for himself whether it be as a director of golf, golf instructor or as a player. He is one of the few professionals who is not only a superb teacher but also an accomplished player.

He has won three CNY PGA Stroke Play titles, three Section Players’ Championships, three CNY Open Championships, Boilermaker Open Champion and was named the 2001 CNY PGA Player of the Year. He participated in five straight Eastern CPC Tournaments from 1999 - 2004 and played in five National Club Professional Championships and two Senior National Club Professional Championships. He has also won numerous section pro-ams.

Serafino understood the importance of growing the game which is why he assisted in the creation of the CNY PGA Junior Tour program in the early 2000s.

He went on to become the Director of Club Operations at Lake Shore
