Teaching Philosophy: Every golfer is different; no two are the same. So why do so many golf instructors teach like they are? Height, weight, arm length, shoulder width, hand size, etc. all contribute to different types of golf swings. You must be able to identify and accept the traits you possess in order to produce a golf swing that is most efficient to you.
I teach to the individual, whether I am working with a total beginner or a high level golfer that wants to discuss the technical points of the golf swing; all lessons are tailored to the individual’s requirements.
I start with the most critical fundamentals of the golf swing, taking the student’s abilities in mind, and then build their swing through impact, takeaway, transition, downswing, and follow-through. This helps each student develop their own golf swing from a solid foundation and learn how their swing works. By doing this, it enables the student to correct flaws they see in their game and ultimately help to take their game and enjoyment to the next level.
Personal: I grew up in West Frankfort, IL, attended college at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN on a baseball scholarship, and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelors’ degree in Sports Management.
After college, I signed a minor league contract to play for the New York Mets and continued to play professional baseball for 8 seasons. In addition to playing for the New York Mets minor league system, he played in the Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, and Los Angeles Dodgers farm systems before finishing his career with the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2007.

Country Club of Harrisburg
Harrisburg PA
Our 18 Hole Championship Golf Course was founded in 1896, making it one of the 7 oldest clubs in the state of Pennsylvania. When the club moved from Front Street to its current location on Fishing Creek Valley Road world renowned architect William Flynn was hired to design the course. William Flynn is best known for his design work of Merion Golf Club's West Course, The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, The United States Naval Academy Golf Course and Lancaster Country Club just to name a few. Former Masters Champion (1938) and PGA Champion (1939) Henry Picard was Head Golf Professional at The Country Club of Harrisburg from 1945 to 1947. In 1947 Jack Grout became Head Golf Professional at The Country Club of Harrisburg before moving on to his final position as Head Golf Professional at Scioto Country Club where he began to instruct Jack Nicklaus. Our rich history and tradition is second to none in the Harrisburg Area.
