Tim Ritter
Director of Junior Golf and Player Developmentassociate
Tim Ritter lives and breathes golf. Whether preparing juniors for high level competition or winning the 2021 Mid-Atlantic APA Player of the year, Tim is passionate about all parts of the game ranging from teaching to playing. Tim has developed a large following of students at all levels through his innovative instruction with a particular focus on short game and mental toughness. Improving these skills, along with the other critical aspects of the game, helped develop the Army-Navy junior team into a Top-25 program and introduced countless young people to competitive golf. TPC Potomac is indeed fortunate to have Tim bring his energy, skill and love of the game to Maryland.
Prior to joining TPC Potomac, Tim served as a golf professional at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. Tim grew up in Virginia and captained Westfield High School to a team State Championship before attending Division I Old Dominion University on a full golf and academic scholarship. Tim received his MBA from Western Governors University in 2018. Currently, Tim is enrolled as a PGA Apprentice and will be receiving his full PGA Membership in the near future. Whether helping a new golfer break 100 or helping a seasoned golfer play in her first Amateur event, Tim derives tremendous pride in sharing his love of golf with all players.

TPC Potomac At Avenel
Potomac MD
The reviews following the $20 million renovation of TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm speak for themselves. Shortly after reopening in 2009, TPC Potomac was ranked No. 14 by Golf Digest – Best Courses in Maryland, #12 by GolfWeek Magazine – Best New Golf Courses (2009) and also listed among Links Magazine’s list of Best New Golf Courses for that year. Challenging enough for the best players in the world, the golf course offers five sets of tees on each hole affording golfers of all abilities the chance to “Play it Forward” and experience an enjoyable round of golf. The par 70 golf course measures 7,139 yards from the championship tees, but from the member tees is a fair challenge at around 6,047 yards. To make your golf experience even more enjoyable, consider having one of TPC Potomac’s caddies guide you around the course and offer assistance off the tee and in reading the undulating greens.
