Mike Pickett, PGA is a Northeast Ohio native having grown up in Stow and achieving a BS Degree in Sports Management from Kent State University. He has held progressive roles with the golf world including positions with Beechmont Country Club, Cumberland Trail Golf Club, Quail Hollow Country Club and currently serving as the Director of Player Development at the prestigious Kirtland Country Club developing his expertise in Golf Instruction, Club-Fitting, Junior Golf and Player Development Programming. Mike’s passion and leadership for Junior Golf extends even further as he leads the Regional PGA Jr. League All-Star Team as well as the Head Varsity Golf Coach for Riverside High School. Mike was also awarded the 2023 NOPGA Player Development Professional of the Year.

Mike’s educational and professional training have clearly separated him within the golf industry amongst his peers. He has been a PGA Member for 19 years along with achieving advanced level “Certified PGA Professional” status within the PGA of America under the focuses of “Teaching & Coaching” and “Golf Operations”. He achieved Level 1 TPI Certification which focuses on the body-swing connection throughout the golf swing. He is also certified in the PGA.Coach ADM Model which embodies the importance of age-appropriate Junior Golf development. One of Mike’s additional passions within the game is the Rules of Golf. In January 2023, Mike achieved “Expert Certification” within the USGA which has earned him the opportunity to serve as the Lead Rules Official for the NOPGA and other amateur, collegiate and professional golf tournaments. In 2024, Mike developed expertise through advanced education and training on the mental coaching side of golf. He became a Master Mental Coach through FlowCode Academy.

Mike currently resides locally in Painesville with his two kids (Ella, 19 & Griffin, 15) and his wife, Elizabeth. Collectively, he and his entire family all have a passion for promoting and living by the “Razz Way of Life,” a philosophy of celebrating life to its fullest that Mike has developed.
