The youngest PGA Tour winners

Winning isn't easy on the PGA Tour.
The majority of those who make it to the PGA Tour never win.
With that in mind, imagine what it must be like to be a teenage winner on the PGA Tour -- something that has happened only four times in history, dating back to 1900.
Here's a look at the only players in PGA Tour winners -- from youngest to oldest -- to be victorious before reaching the age of 20.
1. Harry Cooper
Age: 19 years, 4 days
Tournament: 1923 Galveston Open
Notes: Born in Leatherhead, England, in 1904, Cooper's father Syd was actually a professional golfer who had served as an apprentice to Old Tom Morris at St. Andrews. His mother, Alice, was also a pro golfer, very rare in that era. The family moved to Texas when Harry was young and his dad took a job as a club professional in Dallas.
Cooper turned professional in 1923 and, shortly thereafter, won the Galveston Open. It was the first of 37 career victories for Cooper. He also was a runner-up twice at the Masters and U.S. Open and tied for third at the 1925 PGA Championship. He never played in an Open Championship.
Some 95 years later, Cooper remains the youngest winner in Tour history.
2. Ralph Guldahl
Age: 19 years, 8 months, 3 days
Tournament: 1931 Santa Monica Open
Notes: Guldahl, a 3-time major winner, won the 1931 Santa Monica Open when he was just 19 years, 8 months and 3 days old. Guldahl had 16 total victories in his career and entered the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1981.
3. Johnny McDermott
Age: 19 years, 10 months, 14 days
Tournament: 1911 U.S. Open
Notes: As if winning a major before the age of 20 weren't impressive enough, how about the fact that McDermott's victory came in a major? Remarkably, it was his third start in a U.S. Open, having made is debut as an amateur in 1909. With that victory at Philadelphia Cricket Club, McDermott also became the first American to win the U.S. Open. He would win again one year later and finished his career with seven overall wins.
4. Jordan Spieth
Age: 19 years, 11 months, 17 days
Tournament: 2013 John Deere Classic
Notes: In July 2013, Jordan Spieth became just the fourth player in history to win on the PGA Tour before the age of 20 and the first since Guldahl turned the trick in 1931. Spieth was 19 years, 11 months and 17 days old when he holed a bunker shot for birdie on the 72nd hole at the John Deere Classic to earn a spot in a three-way playoff that he would win on the fifth playoff hole.
Since then, Spieth's career has rivaled that of the greats. He has 14 wins overall and three of those are majors. He's just a PGA Championship away from achieving a career grand slam.
