Bubba Watson has a new little buddy on the bag
Published on

If you've paid attention to Bubba Watson over the last couple of years, you're no doubt familiar with the "little Bubba" headcover that sits prominently atop his golf bag. Bubba's "mini-me" was country-fied – barefoot, dressed up (or maybe we should say down) in blue overalls, with a white visor unable to tame his shaggy black locks.
This week, however, Watson's bag is sporting a brand-new headcover – it's little Bubba in a Pensacola Blue Wahoos uniform. He's sporting "01" (the General Lee's number, of course), along with a Blue Wahoos visor around an upsweep of spiky hair.
Big Bubba, of course, bought into the Blue Wahoos over the winter, and even spent some time at Spring Training in Arizona last month to check out some of the players that the Wahoos parent club, the Cincinnati Reds, would be sending down to the Florida Panhandle.
Let's hope the new headcover brings the Wahoos a little luck. They've begun their season with a 5-13 record, and are currently in last place in the South Division of the AA Southern League.
And, of course, we wish the original little Bubba a long and happy retirement. He had quite a ride.
