How much are Rory McIlroy's irons worth?

Few of us were shocked that Rory McIlroy won the WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship on Sunday. After all, it was his second victory of the year, his second win in his last three World Golf Championship events – and he joined Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win 10 PGA Tour titles before his 26th birthday.

What is a little eye-opening is that McIlroy – whose 26th birthday is today – recently has turned over several of the clubs in his bag. In recent months, he's put into play a new Nike Vapor Pro Driver, a pair of Nike Vapor Speed fairway woods and a 59-degree Nike Engage wedge. Still in his bag are his trusty Nike VR Pro Blade irons a trio of Nike VR Forged wedges and his Method 006 putter.

The VR Pro Blade irons from Nike were designed for consistency and control. The heads are made from forged carbon steel and then the faces are milled to be perfectly flat before the grooves are die-stamped into them. The grooves are Nike's X3X high-frequency grooves, which are deeper and closer together than previous versions to impart more spin on even the softest of shots.

The Pro Blades made their official debut back in 2010 with a suggested retail price of $1,079.99. They currently have an estimated trade-in value of $158.32 per set and an estimated resale value of $395.80, according to the PGA.com Value Guide and Trade-in Network.

Are you looking to buy a set of these irons? Do you have a set and want to sell it? Either way, it's easy – you can find out all you need to know by clicking the links above.
