Head Golf ProfessionalTeaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy starts with the basic fundamentals: grip, stance, ball position, and posture. I believe each person has a swing based on his or her body type and flexibility. My goal is to set each student on the proper path of improvement. Every student will leave the lesson better than they started. I do not believe a student should get worse before they get better. My goal during each lesson is to achieve positive results during the lesson. Through the use of video, swing drills, and training aids my students will learn how to improve their game.
Approach
There will be a key interviewing process during the first lesson with each student. In this lesson I will discuss with the student his or her goals. The focus will be on total game improvement. After reviewing the student’s technique, I will voice my corrections, and if needed help the student set new goals. Video swing analysis will be used along with certain drills to help the student see and feel the corrections taking place. Short game improvement will be equally important. This will be stressed to each student. On-course instruction will be included to help students realize their weaknesses.
