Steve Monroe
First Assistant Golf Professionalassociate
Hello! Along with many other sports, I played golf as a kid. Throughout college, I stayed active with basketball and only played a few rounds of golf a year. During the pandemic, golf was the only thing open. So, I played and played and played. I took lessons, captured my youthful swing once again. I have coached other high movement analysis sports before, skiing, snowboarding, etc. After talking with my coach, the transition into teaching golf was a natural progression. I went back to college for a Certification in Athletic Coaching, and also joined the PGA Golf Management program. Also, unlike the winter sports, I could do this year around in Southern California.
Today, I am currently the First Assistant Golf Professional and Director of Junior Development at Woodland Hills Country Club in Southern California. I have players learning from all ages, skill level, and gender. My big passion is working with the beginner and junior golfers, especially those that carry any social anxiety.
I look forward to helping you in your personal journey into golf.
