Steve Goforth, PGA
Owner of Goforth Golf InstructionAn Upstate, SC native, Steve has over 20 years experience in the golf industry. Steve was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 8 and experienced success as a junior golfer and high school letterman. Steve started his golfing career at Hejaz Shrine Golf Club as a cart attendant and maintenance crew worker in 1990. He then moved on to work for Slazenger Golf from 1994-2000, where he was a custom club builder, certified fitting professional, and provided golf instruction. Steve has attended numerous club fitting schools and seminars and continues to broaden his knowledge of golf equipment and the golf swing. He was named a World’s Top 100 Club Fitter in 2007 and 2008.
Steve served as the General Manager and Director of Golf at The Eagle Zone Golf Center located in Greenville, SC for 7 years. He helped many golfers with every aspect of their game while at The Eagle Zone.
Steve returned to Hejaz Shrine Golf Club in 2009 to become the Head Golf Professional in charge of golf operations. Steve implemented several positives changes to the Club and continued to broaden his teaching philosophy increase his student base.
He moved on to Willow Creek Golf Club in Greer, SC in 2014 where he acted as the General Manager and Director of Instruction for 7 years. He continued to grow his brand and dedicated himself to expanding his knowledge about the golf swing and mental game as he helped hundreds of new and current students improve their game.
Steve is a Class “A” PGA Professional who is now the Head Golf Professional at Cross Creek Golf Club in Seneca, SC. Steve is dedicated to providing quality golf instruction along with a true sincerity for each of his student’s success. He available for individual based lessons for adults and junior golfers, as well as adult and junior clinics.
