Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is based on the individual student’s goals and desires, while keeping the game of golf as simple as possible. I understand that each student has different goals and different levels they would like to reach in their golf game. I feel in order to even start working on the mechanics of the swing; each student and instructor must set a goal or goals as a team we try to achieve.
At the same time, I understand that every student is unique and learns differently. As an instructor, I feel that it is important to communicate an idea in more than one way. I also feel that communication between the student and I is very important and “no question is a dumb one”. I want my students to be comfortable with asking me questions whenever they feel necessary.
And finally, as an instructor, I need to gain my student’s trust. My students come to me for my expertise of the golf swing and knowledge of the game. Without a student’s trust, he or she will never be fully committed to taking my advice and taking their games to the next level. People play golf for a number of reasons. Whether they play the game for business, socialization, or to spend time with family, golf was meant to be fun and enjoyable and my goal is to keep it that way.
Helping players achieve their goals.
