Jim Woods, Director of Golf at the Old Course at Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa and a 25 year Class “A” PGA Golf Professional, is an accomplished player and competitor with over thirty years of experience both professionally and personally. Throughout his career Jim has been privileged to be the Head Golf Professional at three other golf courses and owned and operated his own golf school. Jim is an expert in all areas of golf and has taught thousands of lessons to all ages and abilities including; Veterans in the PGA Hope Program, Special Olympic competitors and Recreation Habilitation Programs for people with disabilities. Jim twice qualified for the PGA tour event “The BC Open” in his hometown of Endicott, NY and was also a US Open medalist in a local qualifier. Playing inside the ropes on the PGA tour and narrowly missing a chance to play in the US Open are experiences he will always remember. Jim also spends ample time giving back to the golf community where he has helped raise thousands of dollars for local and national charities through his career.
