James has been a PGA member in West Tennessee since 1993. A graduate of the Mississippi State Professional Golf Management program, James developed a passion for coaching and teaching as an intern at North River Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa, AL. Serving as a program assistant for Golf Digest VIP instructional schools, James was mentored and taught the art of instruction by Chuck Cook, Bob Toski, Jack Lumpkin, Mark Anderson and Dr. Bob Rotella. Over the past 25 years, James has helped thousands of golfers with their games. In 2011, James Merry Golf Academy was formed and the groundwork for his current coaching program was laid. James continues to introduce hundreds of golfers to the game each year through his programming and coaching activities
