Donald Strassner PGA Master Golf Professional Teaching Professional at Union League National Golf Club Donald has 27 years of experience in the golf industry in such positions as Director of Golf Instruction, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Golf Professional. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and willingness to work with all ability levels of golfers, including specialized instruction within a small group setting targeting all ranges of ability. He has crafted golf instruction and clinics around young children five and older and also for those students with physical or mental disabilities as part of his work with the PGA HOPE program for Veterans, the Eastern Amputee Golf Association and Special Olympics of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Donald believes in continuing to better his knowledge of golf and strives to enhance his understanding of best practices through continuing his personal education. He is part of an elite group of PGA Golf Professionals in the country with seven certifications through the PGA’s continuing education program. He recently finished his thesis and dissertation for the PGA’s top level Master’s Program in the topic area of Player Development as part of his goal to make golf equitable for all. Donald has been recognized in the world of golf for wanting to grow the game and enrich his teaching skills. He was selected to the PGA Presidents Council in 2005, ‘06, ‘07, ‘09 & ‘10 for growing the game of golf. He was also recognized in 2011 & ’12 through U.S. Kids Golf as an Honorable Mention to the Top 50 Kids Teachers in the United States.
