What started as golf lessons in the 9th grade turned into a 12-year career teaching the game for Daniel Sciarrino. The teacher that introduced Daniel to golf, who is still his mentor today, showed him that teaching and competing in tournaments could be a lifelong and rewarding profession.

Daniel has had the pleasure of studying under the games best instructors including Shane LeBaron, Jim Hardy, Chris O'Connell, Jack Lumpkin, Mike Shannon and Stan Utley. Being around these instructors influenced Daniel in the creation of his own teaching philosophy.

Daniel believes that golf is much more than being able to strike the ball well; it is about decision making and being able to execute those choices relative to your ability. He helps students understand that golf is comprised of a number of skills, which is why Daniel believes it is important to learn how to play the whole game. When teaching, he focuses on the students unique challenges and goals to provide them with specific instruction to create well-rounded players.

Daniel became a member of the PGA of America in 2016. While in the WNY PGA Section, Daniel was nominated for the “Junior Player Development” award. He has been repeatedly nominated for Golf Digest’s “Best In State”, as well as “Best Young Teachers in America”. In October 2024, Daniel was selected as one of Golf Digests “Best Young Teachers In America” for the 2025-2026 calendar year.

He is currently a teaching professional at Lake Shore Country Club in Glencoe, IL.
