Hello, my name is Jim Davey. I have been a golf professional in the Cape Girardeau / Jackson area since 1997. My teaching career began at that time under the tutelage of Todd Eastin. My general teaching philosophy is to help students learn to train their golf swings to create a path and club face position that will promote solid contact and the ball flight you are looking for. During our lesson, we will use video, various training aids and launch monitor tracking to help provide you with the information needed to create a wonderful learning experience.
For those choosing the club fitting experience, I am a Callaway Golf Certified Master Club fitter. I have spent many years learning and honing my skills to help players choose the best equipment to not only help your game but also to fill your bag with clubs that you need, not clubs that we want you to buy. Certifications also include PGA HOPE (Helping our Patriots Everywhere) My professional golfing background includes playing and competing in the Gateway Section of the PGA of America.
During my amateur career, I played 4 years of varsity golf at Francis Howell North High School in St. Charles and 2 years of Division One golf at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape.
