Last year: Ben Martin won his first PGA Tour title. He made a 45-foot eagle putt on the 16th hole and birdied the 18th for a two-stroke victory.

 

Last week: Argentina's Emiliano Grillo won the season-opening Frys.com Open in Napa, California, in his first start as a PGA Tour member. He beat Kevin Na with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff.

 

Notes: U.S. Presidents Cup players Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker are in the field. International team member Steven Bowditch also is playing. ... Patton Kizzire is making his first start as PGA Tour member. He won twice last year on the Web.com Tour and topped the regular-season and finals-combined money lists. The former Auburn player was married Saturday in Georgia. ... U.S. Walker Cup teammates Denny McCarthy and Hunter Stewart are making their pro debuts. McCarthy played at Virginia, and Stewart at Vanderbilt. ... In 2010, Jonathan Byrd won with a hole-in-one on the fourth extra hole. ... The CIMB Classic is next week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Last year: South Korea's Inbee Park won the last of her three 2014 titles, shooting 64-62-69-71 for a tournament-record 22-under 266 total. Stacy Lewis was second, two strokes back.

 

Last week: Lexi Thompson won the KEB HanaBank Championship in South Korea for her second victory of the year and sixth overall. She beat Yani Tseng and Sung Hyun Park by a stroke.

 

Notes: Top-ranked Inbee Park is skipping her title defense to play in a Korea LPGA event. ... Second-ranked Lydia Ko is tied with Inbee Park atop the player of the year points list and they also share the tour victory lead with four. ... Tseng won the inaugural event in 2011 at Sunrise Country Club. The Taiwanese star won the last of her 15 LPGA Tour titles in March 2012. ... Norway's Suzann Pettersen won in 2012 and 2013 at Sunrise. ... The Blue Bay LPGA is next week in China, followed by the Japan Classic.

Last year: Australia's Scott Hend beat the Philippines' Angelo Que with a par on the first hole of a playoff.

 

Last week: England's Andy Sullivan won the Portugal Masters by a tournament-record nine strokes. He has three European Tour victories this season, also wining the South African Open and Joburg Open. ... Hend won the Asian Tour's Macao Open for the second time in three years. He beat Anirban Lahiri and Chiragh Kumar by three strokes.

 

Notes: Justin Rose, Patrick Reed, Graeme McDowell and four-time winner Miguel Angel Jimenez top the field in the European Tour's regular-season finale. The top 110 players on the money list after the event will earn tour cards for next season. ... First played in 1959, the tournament is the longest-running sporting event in Hong Kong. ... The European Tour's Finals Series starts next week with the Turkish Airlines Open. ... The Asian Tour will team with the PGA Tour next week for the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
