Masters 2017: Key numbers to know ahead of Sunday's final round

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Here are three key things to know about Saturday's round of the Masters and four more things to watch in the final round today:

Round 3

DAY'S BIG DAY: World No. 3 Jason Day began Saturday one of nine players who made the 6-over cut on the number. He went off first playing with a marker, and four-consecutive birdies starting at No. 12 helped him to 3 under and solo 27th.

GOOD POSITION: A player holding at least a share of the third-round lead has gone on to win 43 of 80 Masters, including three of the last eight, with Jordan Spieth (2015), Bubba Watson (2014) and Angel Cabrera (2009).

CLIMBING THE WALL: The only Masters champion who wasn't in the top 10 after 54 holes was Art Wall Jr. in 1959, tied for 13th.

Round 4

UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY: Co-leader Justin Rose has never entered the final round with the Masters lead, but has led four times after earlier rounds.

LOW AMATEURS: The two remaining amateurs are American Stewart Hagestad, 25, (tied for 32nd at 5-over) and Australian Curtis Luck, 20, (tied for 47th at 9-over).

EARLY START: For the second-straight day, a high-profile player will start the day off solo as Hall-of-Famer Ernie Els (last in 53rd at 11-over) will play with a marker.

MAJOR PAIN: Since 1934, Lee Westwood (75) and Sergio Garcia (73) trail only Jay Haas (87) with the most major starts without winning. Garcia is tied for the lead and Westwood is tied for ninth.
