WATCH: Hideki Matsuyama makes impressive eagle from fairway at US Open
The rough and fescue is tough to get out of at Erin Hills. The U.S. Open greens are slick and will test even the best of putters this week.
But golf is a much easier game to play when you just avoid all of that like Hideki Matsuyama did on the par-4 15th hole, his sixth of the day.

Coming off a bogey on the par-5 14th, Matsuyama positioned his tee shot perfectly in the fairway. From 103 yards out, all that was left was a simple wedge shot that he spun back into the hole for an eagle. Check out the shot below.
