Thorbjorn Olesen is heading to the Nordea Masters. His golf clubs aren't.

Looks like Thorbjorn Olesen is in the market for a new set of clubs for his next stop on the European Tour.

Olesen, who finished T-56 at 1-under in this past weekend's PGA Championship, was heading to Sweden for this weekend's Nordea Masters at the Hills Golf & Sports Club. Unfortunately for Olesen, his golf clubs weren't.

 

Another week, another set of missing golf clubs and lost baggage with @AmericanAir & @British_Airways. Any chance you could help find all of my luggage and send it to me before my tournament this week?! Need them for work!! Thanks

UPDATE: As of Wednesday morning, all is well. Olesen tweeted out he received his clubs, one set of them at least, and is out on the course.

Apparently, this has been an ongoing circumstance for Olesen, who has had zero luck with the airlines over the past week and a half.

 

So the comedy continues, @British_Airways have managed to now lose 5 suitcases and 2 sets of golf clubs in 10 days!

Olesen isn't the only one who has seen their golf clubs travel to a different destination. Earlier in July, Graeme McDowell was forced to withdraw from a 36-hole qualifier for The Open Championship at St, Anne's Old Links. Air France was able to track down McDowell's clubs and get them to his hotel the Wednesday before his next qualifier.

Much like McDowell was trying to qualify for The Open, Olesen has a real chance to improve his European Ryder Cup chances with a strong showing at this weekend's Nordea Masters. As one of three remaining events on the European Tour International Schedule that offers Ryder Cup points, it is pretty important that Olesen gets his clubs in time.

Not only is the mysterious case of the lost clubs possibly affecting his next tournament, it is now affecting his devout Twitter followers as well.

At the very least, Olesen has kept a sense of humor about the unlucky situation. The Nordea Masters doesn't tee off until Thursday, August 16 so at least one of those sets of clubs still has time to find its way to Sweden.
