Russell Knox sinks incredible back-to-back putts to win the Irish Open

The myth goes that lightning never strikes twice in the same place. Don't tell Russell Knox that.

During the final round of the European Tour's Irish Open, Knox needed to sink about a 50-foot putt for birdie in order to force a potential playoff with Ryan Fox. Following Fox's birdie putt sliding by for the win, the two headed back to the 18th tee for a playoff.

As fate would have it, Knox then placed his approach shot in almost the exact same spot on the playoff hole. You might think the video below is just a replay of the putt in regulation, but it is indeed Knox proving that it wasn't just luck he made the putt the first time.

Fox's putt dramatically lipped out for his birdie to force a second playoff hole and gave Knox the win. The runner-up finish did, however, earn Fox a spot in the field for The Open Championship at Carnoustie.
